Isla Blanca Beach sits inside Isla Blanca Park. You pay a small fee to drive in, but once inside, parking is easy. The beach has boardwalks, public restrooms, and showers. It's a family-friendly spot with a waterpark nearby. Early morning is the quietest time. Watch for sanderlings and brown pelicans along the shore. It's also where the SPI Jetties are located, a great spot to fish for snapper and redfish, or to watch SpaceX rockets launch from Starbase across the bay.

On a clear morning, you can see plenty of herons and egrets. I spent my final morning here and saw birds everywhere.
